焦(jiao)(jiao)炭主要(yao)(yao)用(yong)(yong)(yong)(yong)于(yu)高爐(lu)(lu)煉(lian)(lian)(lian)鐵(tie)和用(yong)(yong)(yong)(yong)于(yu)銅(tong)、鉛、鋅、鈦(tai)、銻(ti)、汞等有(you)色(se)金(jin)屬的鼓風爐(lu)(lu)冶煉(lian)(lian)(lian),起還(huan)原(yuan)劑、發(fa)熱劑和料柱骨架作(zuo)(zuo)用(yong)(yong)(yong)(yong)。煉(lian)(lian)(lian)鐵(tie)高爐(lu)(lu)采用(yong)(yong)(yong)(yong)焦(jiao)(jiao)炭代替木炭,為(wei)現代高爐(lu)(lu)的大型化(hua)奠定(ding)了(le)基礎,是冶金(jin)史上的一個重大里(li)程碑。為(wei)使高爐(lu)(lu)操作(zuo)(zuo)達到較(jiao)好的技術經濟指標,冶煉(lian)(lian)(lian)用(yong)(yong)(yong)(yong)焦(jiao)(jiao)炭(冶金(jin)焦(jiao)(jiao))必(bi)須具有(you)適當的化(hua)學(xue)性質(zhi)(zhi)和物理性質(zhi)(zhi),包括冶煉(lian)(lian)(lian)過程中的熱態性質(zhi)(zhi)。焦(jiao)(jiao)炭除大量(liang)用(yong)(yong)(yong)(yong)于(yu)煉(lian)(lian)(lian)鐵(tie)和有(you)色(se)金(jin)屬冶煉(lian)(lian)(lian)(冶金(jin)焦(jiao)(jiao))外(wai),還(huan)用(yong)(yong)(yong)(yong)于(yu)鑄造(zao)、化(hua)工、電石和鐵(tie)合金(jin),其質(zhi)(zhi)量(liang)要(yao)(yao)求(qiu)有(you)所不(bu)同。如鑄造(zao)用(yong)(yong)(yong)(yong)焦(jiao)(jiao),一般要(yao)(yao)求(qiu)粒度大、氣孔(kong)率低、固(gu)(gu)定(ding)碳(tan)高和硫(liu)分低;化(hua)工氣化(hua)用(yong)(yong)(yong)(yong)焦(jiao)(jiao),對(dui)強度要(yao)(yao)求(qiu)不(bu)嚴(yan),但要(yao)(yao)求(qiu)反(fan)應性好,灰熔點較(jiao)高;電石生產用(yong)(yong)(yong)(yong)焦(jiao)(jiao)要(yao)(yao)求(qiu)盡量(liang)提高固(gu)(gu)定(ding)碳(tan)含量(liang)。
